Track new Westlaw content with WestClip, a clipping service that allows you to monitor breaking news and legal developments that could affect you, your organization, and your clients. Clips can be delivered to your email inbox, printer, fax machine, or computer disk drive. You can also run WestClip queries manually from your WestClip Directory page.

Set up new queries quickly, and get alerts on your schedule.
  • Sign on to Westlaw and select WestClip from the More drop-down list
  • Click Create Entry and follow the onscreen instructions
  • To set up a query from a search result, click on the WestClip link above the result list
  • Two new frequency options for custom delivery: as documents are loaded or multiple-frequency – up to 24 times a day
  • Search only headlines and lead paragraphs
  • Select the minimum number of times a term must appear
  • Catch abbreviations and other special terms

  • WestClip searches that run daily, weekly, biweekly. or monthly are FREE of charge
  • Continuous, up-to-the-minute searches are $4.50 per query per day
  • If you designate your delivery format as a List of All Citations, the search results are also free; charges may apply for other delivery options (e.g., full text, first pages, or term mode pages) and for retrieving cited documents from databases that aren't included in your Westlaw plan
