Robert T. Smith is the Managing Director of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies and a Professor of law at Brigham Young University, where he has helped organize and lecture at numerous domestic and international conferences.

Prior to joining Brigham Young University, Smith practiced organizational tax law in large law firms in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Salt Lake City. Professor Smith also served as Executive Vice-President and General Counsel of a litigation services company.

Professor Smith recieved his J.D. magna cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, and also holds an M.B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame.
