John A. Borron, Jr.
The Honorable John A. Borron, Jr. has been a member of the Missouri judiciary, serving as a probate judge, since 1988. Immediately preceding his appointment as judge, he served as Commissioner to the Probate Division, Circuit Court, Jackson County, for 18 years. Prior to his long history of public service, he was a trial attorney in private practice for 14 years, with an emphasis on civil litigation, tax, corporate law, bankruptcy, as well as probate.

Over a 30-year period, Judge Borron has been extensively involved in the legislative process, serving as chairman, liaison, or consultant to a long list of legislative initiatives. He has also been actively involved in the state and local Bar, as well as judicial administration, serving as chair or member of a variety of judicial committees. In such service, he has received several awards, including President's Award, Missouri Bar; Judicial Recipient, Spurgeon Smithson Award, Trustees of Missouri Bar Foundation; and Recognition Award, Ad Hoc Coalition for Revision of Guardianship Code.

In addition to his works for West, he has authored numerous law review articles and journals. He has been actively involved as a lecturer and writer in CLE, providing a continuing valuable service and effectively representing issues important to the Bench and Bar.
