Lane is a partner in the Chicago office of Lane & Lane, a firm which specializes in medical malpractice and professional negligence, motor vehicle accidents, premises and product liability, and related areas involving serious personal injury and wrongful death. He is an instructor at the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and has coached the Loyola Trial Team.
Prior to his association with Lane & Lane, Mr. Lane was a Cook County Assistant States Attorney. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from Southern Methodist University and is a 1988 graduate of Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and the Trial Team.
He frequently lectures at bar association seminars on topics pertaining to civil litigation and is co-director and a faculty member of the Illinois State Bar Association Trial Techniques Institute. He has authored numerous published articles and chapters on evidence and related trial topics.
Mr. Lane is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, Decalogue Society of Lawyers, Illinois State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and is an Associate in Law of the American College of Legal Medicine. He was selected by attorneys and judges in 2002 as one of the 40 Attorneys Under 40 in the State of Illinois.
