Careen Shannon is of counsel to Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP, where she works with the firms Legal Practice and Government Relations groups. She is also an adjunct professor of immigration law at Yeshiva Universitys Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York. She was formerly a law clerk at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, a staff attorney with The Legal Aid Society in New York City, and a legal editor of immigration publications for Matthew Bender & Co. Shannon is admitted to the bar in the states of New York and New Jersey. A graduate of Oberlin College (B.A., 1981) and the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law (1989), she has also studied abroad in Denmark, France, and Japan. A frequent speaker and writer, Shannon has spoken before numerous bar associations, professional organizations, and human resources groups, and has written countless articles on immigration law topics for a variety of legal and human resources publications.
