Kaufman is Professor of Law at Loyola University of Chicago Law School where he teaches Corporations, Securities and Securities Litigation. He is counsel to the Chicago law firm of Sachnoff & Weaver, Ltd., and a Public Arbitrator for the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He also lectures for the BarBri Bar Review Course. Upon Graduating from Law School, he served as law clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a
magna cum laude graduate of Kenyon College and also holds a Master of Arts and Juris Doctor Degrees from the University of Michigan.
Professor Kaufman is the author of several books and law review articles in addition to his work on West products. He has drafted several rules for the Illinois Case of Civil Procedure and has served as consultant to the Corporate Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association regarding proposed antitakeover legislation.
