Michael Hammer, a member at Dickinson Wright PLLC, has prosecuted and defended numerous complex commercial, creditor rights, automotive, and real estate litigation matters. His clients include AT&T Inc., Borders Group Inc., Chrysler LLC, DuPont, FANUC Robotics North America Inc., Ford Motor Company, JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Summit Polymers Inc., Visteon Corporation, and Yazaki North America Inc.
Mr. Hammer is a member of the Dickinson Wright Management Group and Dickinson Wright Governing Board. He is co-chair of the FBA Bankruptcy Section, Eastern District of Michigan, and federal mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He is active in the debtor-creditor sections of the Federal and Detroit Metropolitan Bar Associations.
Mr. Hammer co-authored Strategies for Secured Creditors in Workouts and Foreclosures (American Law Institute and American Bar Association) and is co-author of Preference Audits in Bankruptcy: Searching for Evidence, ABI Journal, September 1993. He is a speaker and moderator for national and local bankruptcy conferences and a guest lecturer at University of Michigan Law School and Wayne State University,
Mr. Hammer is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court in the Eastern and Western District of Michigan and before numerous other bankruptcy courts and district courts around the country.
