Meck, FAICP, is the director of the Center for Government Services in the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in New Brunswick. A specialist in planning statute reform, Meck is a former national president of the American Planning Association (APA), and has 34 years of experience as a professional planner and public administrator, most of it in Ohio.
Mr. Meck holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Journalism, a Master of City Planning from the Ohio State University, and an M.B.A. from Wright State University. He has written widely on planning and land use controls, and has taught planning at several Ohio universities. Meck is a licensed professional planner in New Jersey and a registered professional community planner in Michigan, as well as a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP).
