Vincent J. Russo is the managing shareholder of Vincent J. Russo & Associates, P.C. of Westbury, N.Y. He has dedicated his practice to elder law, with related expertise in Medicaid planning, trust & estate planning, health care proxies and living wills, trust and estate administration, taxation, guardianships, real estate, Florida elder law, durable powers of attorney, planning for persons with disabilities, and special needs and attorney settlement services.
He is admitted to practice law in New York, Massachusetts and Florida. Mr. Russo received his law degree from Fordham University Law School and Masters of Law degree in taxation from Boston University School of Law. He is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He also has written numerous articles on elder law, published in such journals as New York State Bar Journal, The Elder Law Report, Nassau Lawyer and NAELA Quarterly.
Among his affiliations, Mr. Russo is a founding member and past chair of the New York State Bar Associations Elder Law section. Currently, he is the NYSBAs chair of the Leadership Task Force. He also is a founding member, fellow and past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. In addition, he is a member of the Legal Advisory Board for Alzheimer's Association Long Island and the Legal Advisory Committee on Elder Law, Disability and Estate Planning for the Arthritis Foundation Long Island Chapter.
He is a past adjunct professor at CUNY School of Law in Queens and has appeared on many radio and television programs, including CBS News Sunday Morning, NBCs Today show, CNN, CNBC and FOX News Channel. Mr. Russo is listed in Who's Who in Long Island Law by Long Island Business News. He also is co-founder of the Theresa Alessandra Russo Foundation, which assists children with special needs.
