Ann Taylor Schwing
Schwing has been of counsel to McDonough, Holland & Allen in Sacramento California since 1986, where she specializes in appellate practice and areas of business litigation and regulation. She is a member of the Ninth Circuit Advisory Board and the Ninth Circuit Task Force on Self-Represented Litigants, a Charter Member and Reporter of the Judicial Advisory Committee for the Eastern District of California, and Chair of the Subcommittee on Local Rules. She was a member of the California State Bar Standing Committee on Rules and Procedures of Court, serving as Chair of that Committee from 1986 to1987.

Schwing received her B.A. degree cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. degree cum laude from Boston University School of Law. She served as law clerk for Chief Judge Thomas J. MacBride of the Eastern District of California from 1977 until 1980.

Ms. Schwing is an author or contributing author of several widely used law texts. She is an active Master in the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court and serves on its Executive Committee. In 2004 she was the recipient of the American Inns of Court Professionalism Award for the Ninth Circuit.
