William J. Browning
William J. Browning, a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, is a partner in the law firm of Browning & Meyer Co. LPA in Columbus, Ohio. The focus of the firm’s practice is in elder law, probate, estate planning, and Medicaid. Mr. Browning is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Probate and Trust Section, and the Ohio State Bar Association, where he is a former chair of the Mental Disability Law Committee and Elder Law Committee. He has a Martindale-Hubbell Rating of AV. Mr. Browning served as a director of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) from 1993 to 1997, as well as secretary and vice president, and as president 2003 to 2004. He was named a Fellow of NAELA in May 2001 at the symposium that he chaired. He has also served on the boards of the Arthritis Foundation of Central Ohio and the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging. In addition, Mr. Browning has presented at many CLE seminars on estate planning and Medicaid for the elderly and disabled that were sponsored by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Professional Education Systems Inc., and numerous civic and support groups. He has been a guest lecturer for The Ohio State University College of Law, Capital University Law School, and the University of Dayton College of Law. He has been quoted and/or has published articles in publications including USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, Columbus Monthly, Columbus CEO, and the Columbus Dispatch.
