Christopher Keegan is a Senior Vice President and national resource for Errors and Omissions insurance coverage focusing on insurance placements and risk assessment advice on intellectual property, media, technology, network and privacy (cyber) risks for Willis of New York, Inc. For 15 years Mr. Keegan worked as a lawyer in private practice in the United States and in England where he became a partner at a London city firm. His legal practice focused on corporate disputes, professional liability claims reinsurance and risk arising from breaches of intellectual property and the use of technology. The work was international in scope covering the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Latin America and the United States. His current clients include a wide variety of companies including financial institutions, manufacturers, healthcare, retail and telecommunications companies. Prior to becoming an insurance broker he was with Zurich Re where he led the development of their e-commerce and technology reinsurance portfolio, developing policies with regard to infringements of intellectual property rights, breach of rights of privacy, electronic contracts, electronic signatures, trademarks, trade secrets, electronic attacks and electronic breaches of security. Christopher has published a number of articles and spoken widely on issues of privacy, intellectual property and technology.
