Kenneth A. Ehrman
May 21 1917—May 12 2000. A native Californian born in San Francisco, Ehrman graduated from Harvard University, served in Army Military Intelligence in Europe during World War II, and worked as a newspaper reporter in San Francisco before moving to Monterey and opening a law practice in 1962. Beginning in 1967, he began to specialize in California property tax law and co-authored a work on taxation of California property with his law partner, Sean Flavin.

Mr. Ehrman was active in the Taxation Section of the California State Bar for many years, serving a term as chairman and was the recipient of the Judson Klein Award by that Section. Mr. Ehrman wrote extensively in other fields of the law, including a book on California labor law and numerous articles on mediation and arbitration.

Mr. Ehrman retired from active practice in 1985 but continued with his writing.
