Kindregan is a Professor of Law at Suffolk University Law School, where he teaches courses in a variety of subjects including Family Law, Financial Issues in Divorce and Assisted Reproductive Technology. He is currently Vice-Chair of the ABA Committee on Reproductive Technology and Genetics. He was the founder of Suffolks Advanced Legal Studies program and served as Associate Dean.
Professor Kindregan received his L.L.M. from Northwestern University School of Law, his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law of the Illinois Institute of Technology, and his M.A. and B.A. from LaSalle University of Philadelphia. He is co-author of Assisted Reproductive Technology (2005, with Maureen McBrien, ABA) as well as other books. In addition, he is co-author or author of numerous law review articles, including most recently Same-Gender Marriage (Family Law Update, 2005); Same Sex Marriage and Divorce Subject Matter Jurisdiction (Divorce Litigation Journal 2004 with Monroe Inker; Same-Sex Marriage: The Cultural Wars and the Lessons of Legal History, 38 Family Law Quarterly 427 (2004) and Embryo Donation, 49 Villanova Law Review 169 (2004 with Maureen McBrien).
Professor Kindregan has served on numerous legal boards and associations including co-reporter for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts Conference on Family Violence (1996); the Massachusetts Bar Association Task Force on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct; Co-chair, Committee on the Probate & Family Court of the Massachusetts Bar Association; Co-chair, ABA Committee on Law and Family Planning; the Advisory Board of Editors of the ABA Family Law Quarterly; and the Board of Editors of the Journal of Legal Education. He has been a featured speaker at numerous legal conferences including the American Bar Association and the Association of American Law Schools.
