clients on international regulatory matters involving dual use and defense article
export, re-export, and deemed export controls, U.S. economic sanctions, anti-money
laundering and anti-terrorist financing compliance, anti-boycott compliance, foreign
corrupt practices compliance, and sales export declaration reporting requirements.
This work involves counseling clients on how to implement successful company strategies in the context of overlapping international trade law and regulations in these subject areas; providing compliance advice; drafting opinions; conducting internal investigations; and advocating on behalf of clients with the principal U.S. agencies, including the Departments of Commerce, State, and Treasury. He is also involved in the ABA's Task Force on Gatekeeper Regulation.
