Andrew D. Irwin is Of Counsel in the Washington, DC office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. He is a member of the Firm's International Regulations and Compliance group, as well as its Government Contracts group. He practices at the intersection
of international regulatory law and government procurement, focusing primarily on corporate investigations, voluntary disclosures, and related compliance counseling. He has a particular background in laws and regulations that relate to export controls and sanctions, foreign corruption, and government contracting
fraud. Prior to coming to Steptoe, Mr. Irwin spent several years as inside counsel
for one of the world's largest engineering and construction companies. He co-teaches
a course entitled ITAR Compliance and Audits for Federal Publications Seminars, and speaks and writes widely on international compliance topics.
