Maze is a civil litigation attorney with extensive experience handling civil trial and law and motion matters in private law firms and as house counsel for a major national insurance company. She currently serves as a legal research attorney and temporary judge (judge pro tem) for the Orange County Superior Court Civil Complex Panel. She graduated from Occidental College (1985) and Loyola Law School (1989), where she was a staff member and senior note and comment editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. Maze has substantial legal publishing and editing experience and has contributed to numerous litigation practice guides. As the former director of a national embryo adoption program, she has lectured on the legal issues associated with assisted reproductive medicine and adoption. In 2004, she was recognized by then-President George W. Bush for her work in embryo adoption.
