Mr. Mintz is currently a professor of law at Nova Southeastern Universitys Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He specializes in environmental law, environmental enforcement, state and local taxation, and finance. Mr. Mintz received his bachelor of arts degree from Columbia University, his juris doctor degree from New York University School of Law, and his master of laws and doctor of juridical science degrees from Columbia Law School.
He has written or contributed to a dozen books and approximately 30 law review and journal publications. He also is a member of numerous legal organizations, including the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, Environmental Law Commission; Environmental Law Institute® Associate; the Center for Progressive Regulation; Association of American Law Schools, State and Local Government Law section; American Bar Association; and Environmental and Land Use Law Center, Inc. board of directors, Nova Southeastern University.
Mr. Mintz is the recipient of the Nova Southeastern University Presidents Faculty Scholarship Award, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencys Superior Service Award (Bronze Medal), and is listed in Who's Who in America.
