Asimow, Professor of Law Emeritus at the University of California School of Law, Los Angeles, is the author of the Practice Guide’s Tax Chapter. A graduate of Boalt Hall (J.D. 1964), he has been on the UCLA faculty since 1967. He teaches various tax courses, as well as administrative law, business associations, and contracts. Professor Asimow is a former associate at the Los Angeles law firm of Irell & Manella and, from 1986-1991, was Of Counsel to Loeb & Loeb in Los Angeles. He has written extensively on tax-related topics, including numerous articles about tax problems in real estate transactions. Professor Asimow also authors the tax material in the California Practice Guide: Family Law and is a frequent lecturer at Rutter Group continuing legal education programs on federal tax topics.
