Owen is Carolina Distinguished Professor of Law and Director of the Office of Tort Law Studies at the University of South Carolina. He has authored numerous books and articles on torts and products liability law and served as a consulting attorney in a large variety of toxic substance, medical implant, and other products liability cases.
