Carroll is Dean and Ethel P. Malugen Professor at Law at the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University. Dean Carroll is a former U.S. Magistrate Judge, and a former member of the Advisory Committee on the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure of the Judicial Conference of the United States. He is the author of numerous articles on digital discovery and a frequent speaker on the topic.
