• VI was added as a state abbreviation
• Check Manager User Interface: when loading the check screen, information will populate more quickly and after clicking on 'Print Checks', the check information will remain visible behind the dialog
• 1099 Records Management Window will now show the address of the property transferred rather than the seller's address
• HUD 1 lines 801 - 804: these fields now allow for more text
• HUD 1 'type of loan' field will accept a blank entry
• 1099 preprinted and draft forms now comply with IRS specifications for filing corrected returns:
• Original records will print as before except for minor tweaks, EX: the date format was changed to mmm dd, yyyy from mmddyyyy on preprinted forms
• Corrected records may print as one or two records depending on the type of correction, in compliance with the IRS requirements, and the corrected second step should always follow the corrected first step in print. Please note: it may seem counterintuitive that correction is checked off on the original record for a two-step correction but this is part of the requirement for paper filings
Note: RESPA was already compliant with IRS specifications for filing corrected electronic returns and for print and electronic original returns.
• It's now possible to enter a seller's tax ID number with hyphens or spaces in the Seller Window.
• The Notice you see when printing draft forms was corrected to indicate that magnetic media filings are no longer accepted by IRS and that electronic filing is generally required if you are filing 250 or more 1099S forms.
