Attention: Network Administrators
You can copy this Premise program to a server on your local area network (LAN) so that other LAN users can upgrade their Premise software without having to download it.
Premise can be run directly from a network after installing the program on a server and the appropriate workstations. However, West does not recommend using a Premise Server installation in peer-to-peer environments due to performance issues. West also does not recommend the use of Premise CD-ROM data with Novell's CDROM.NLM and CDROM.NSS file systems.
Premise 4.x should not be installed in the same network folder or location as Premise 3.8 because doing so will delete the Premise 3.8 setup.exe file.
Minimum System Requirements
- Operating system: Windows Vista, XP, 2000, 98, or 95; or Windows NT with Service Pack 6
- Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 or later (Windows only, not MacIntosh); Firefox 1.0 or later; Safari 1.1 or later; or Netscape 7.0 or later. JavaScript and cookies enabled; frames fully supported; and pop-ups allowed
- Monitor resolution: 640 x 480 or higher screen resolution (800 x 600 screen resolution recommended)
- Processor: Windows 98: 486DX 66. All others: Pentium or equivalent.
- Memory (RAM): Windows Vista: 1 GB; Windows XP or 2000: 128 MB; Windows 98 or 95: 16 MB (24 MB recommended); Windows NT: 28 MB (32 MB recommended)
- Free hard disk space required for installation: 30MB (60MB for network installation).
