Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice 3d: The bankruptcy firm's "must have"

If your organization practices bankruptcy law—or even handles the occasional creditor–debtor dispute—you likely know of Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice already. Widely cited by judges and commentators alike, Norton is a comprehensive survey of all aspects of bankruptcy law and procedure, from conducting the initial client interview and determining whether to commence the action to dealing with parties in interest and the conclusion of the case. It is an essential resource for the bankruptcy firm library.
The newly released third edition of this 13–volume treatise features a more user–friendly organization. Part One is devoted to introductory and historical aspects of bankruptcy law and practice. Part Two analyzes particular sections of the Bankruptcy Code, largely organized by Bankruptcy Code section. Part Three discusses bankruptcy–related subjects that may not correlate to a specific Bankruptcy Code section. The Hon. William L. Norton Jr. and William L. Norton III incorporate recent developments in bankruptcy law, including the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005 and case law interpreting the Act. Forms and practice aids are now located in related chapter appendixes rather than in separate volumes.
The treatise is updated quarterly with a combination of revised chapters and cumulative supplements. A subscription also includes the Norton Bankruptcy Law Adviser newsletter, which provides monthly summaries of new case law and other bankruptcy developments. A subscription also includes the Norton Bankruptcy Code and Rules pamphlets, which are replaced annually.
The treatise is also available in the Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice 3d database (NRTN-BLP) on Westlaw. The new search template in NRTN-BLP makes it easy to retrieve analysis related to a particular Code section.
