Professors Abrams and Ramsey have extensively revised this casebook to include new cases, materials, and problems, but they have not included so many as to require substantial new preparation. The shorter, revised book continues the interdisciplinary emphasis and comprehensive coverage of representation of children, child abuse and neglect, foster care, and delinquency. Additional chapters on children's rights and legal obligations, adoption, regulatory legislation, and medical decision making provide a broad view of children's issues and permit flexible coverage. An updated teacher's manual will also be provided.
