Ally Howell, author of four Alabama titles, had two articles published recently: "Jurors' Internet Research of Your Case," 21 Women's Bar News of the State of New York 10 (April-May 2009); and "The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act," 21 Women's Bar News of the State of New York 9 (April-May 2009). In addition, her article, "A Comparison of the Treatment of Transgender Persons in the Criminal Justice Systems of Ontario, Canada, New York State, and California" will be published in the 2009-2010 edition of the Buffalo Public Interest Law Journal.
Judge Karen Morris, co-author of Criminal Law in New York, 4th, won a 2009 McGuffey Award for her book Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Law. Text and Academic Authors, a national organization that seeks to enhance the quality of textbooks of all disciplines, gave the award.
Sheldon Nahmod, author of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Litigation: The Law of Section 1983, 4th, has started a blog, Nahmod Law, which provides his analyses and opinions on major civil rights cases and constitutional law.
